Shincheonji Bible: The Birth of Jesus and the Purpose of Christmas

2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ was born and that is why many of us celebrate the day of Christmas. However, did you know that there was much more to the story of how Jesus appeared? Jesus did not just come from a sudden decision of God, but actually God had promised Jesus to come.

One verse that promises Jesus to come is Zechariah 9:9. This verse shows that Jerusalem's king will come on a foal of a donkey. This verse was given before Jesus ever came to the earth, but was fulfilled once he was born and grew up spreading his ministry. The verse came to reality in Matthew 21:1-9.

Another verse that promised Jesus to come was in Isaiah 7:14. This verse shows that Jesus would be born of a virgin and he will be called Immanuel (God with us). This verse came to reality in Matthew 1:23 where Jesus was born from virgin Mary which is the nativity scene that many of us look at today and remember the birth of Jesus through Christmas.

Therefore, let us always remember that Christmas is not just about celebrating the festive nights and lights that are put on display, but let us always remember that Christ was promised to us and that is why we are able to believe his coming to this earth to bring salvation.

Shincheonji Bible: The Heart of a Disciple

What does it mean when asked, "what is the heart of a disciple?"

During the first coming of Jesus Christ, there were many disciples that followed Jesus. The ones who stayed with him till the very end until He descended to heaven were the 12 disciples. Although there were many others, not many of them stayed with him as they found Jesus to bring a teaching that did not fit their standards (John 6:60,66). Then we must ask why the 12 disciples decided to stay with Jesus till the very end. According to John 6:67-68, Jesus asks the disciples if they wanted to leave. Peter, one of the 12 disciples answered to whom should they go because they knew Jesus had the words of eternal life. They stuck with Jesus because they knew He had the words of eternal life.

Then why did some think of Jesus' words as words of foolishness and why did the 12 disciples hear the words as eternal life? This was because they understood the scriptures and perceived Jesus had come to fulfill all the scriptures regarding himself (Matthew 5:17). They knew He was the walking word in flesh and believed it with all their heart and their soul. Their faith was so strong they even died themselves spreading these words of eternal life (Bible). Not anyone in this world is willing to die for others, and moreover for a couple of words. If you ask anyone if they are willing to die for their favorite book, it is hard for them to say yes because it isn't precious enough for them to do so. Then what did the disciples see in the Bible that was so precious that they spilled their blood, were torn apart, hid in catacombs, and risked their life everyday for the Bible? That is something we must ask ourselves everyday. Even further, we must ask ourselves, how precious do we see the Bible? Are we willing to die for it as if we were to be able to die for our loved ones? Do we have the same heart as the disciples where they were willing to die for the Bible to be spread all over the world to even today in our hands? They died so we can have these words of eternal life and died for people who they didn't even know. Then, let's make sure we never forget what they have done for us, and furthermore what Jesus has done for us. Their death has become a chance for us to live. Let us understand the scriptures and search for the preciousness written within the Bible to understand their heart and the heart of God everyday. Amen.

Shincheonji Cult ure and Art: The Heart of a Father

Through the history in the Bible, we have heard about God and how much He has done for us, but how many times do we ask what we should do for him? In Genesis chapter 22, God shows us a shadow of what His heart is like through the history of Abraham being commanded to sacrifice his beloved son. Through the testing of Abraham's faith, many of us who have the scriptures in our very hands are able to see why this history was given for us. In obedience, Abraham was able to take action to sacrifice his son, but by the grace of God, Isaac was spared and Abraham's faith was that much greater. With God's promise through Isaac, Abraham was able to fully have faith and do as commanded. What a relief it must have been for Abraham as a father right?

We see the true intention of God only when we look at the Bible as whole. Why is that? Because the story of Abraham and Isaac was a shadow of what God would do about 4000 years later. Instead of a lamb, Abraham was about to sacrifice his son in place of it. A lamb when sacrificed was to atone the sins of those who were under the law. However, Jesus came as the reality of the law and was the true lamb. God however, did not hold back, but His own beloved son had to die for the sins of men under the law and for the blood to purchase a people in the future who will do the final work of God. Now if we were in the place of a father or even a mother, would we sacrifice our one and only child for many people? How difficult would that be? Truly truly, we must rethink the heart that God has for his people. In order to save the 7.3 billion people on earth and to give all of them life, He gave up His son for people who have been breaking His promises for 6,000 years. God's love is greater than we might perceive, but once a person is in the shoes of a father having to give up his own son for the lives of man, it is only by a huge heart that can contain the world that it can happen. Let's always reflect on the heart God for us in this era. Shincheonji is where finally the people who can see God's heart are appearing and it is where the blood that was spilt is finally redeemed. May we all live to repay God for what he has done as our eternal, spiritual, and true Father! Amen!

Through volunteer events such as "Love for the Nation and Sharing Peace," peace is being spread all around the nation and even through media.

Children paint the Korean flag to show the love for the nation and it shows that peace is needed for the future generations
Today, nations seek for peace, but more than the nation as a whole, children seek for peace. In a world where there is so much war and chaos, the ones who will fight are those who are young and those who have future dreams. Shincheonji volunteers put in their efforts to make peace happen for those who truly are looking for it. Although it may seem like baby steps, one by one, it will surely fulfill if everyone takes matters into their own hands.

Sharing One Heart through Farming

A Shincheonji Volunteer takes a smooth ride through the budding plants of the marsh
Although most of the volunteer work of Shincheonji Volunteers may take place within the city, little may many know that Shincheonji Volunteers also go into the rural areas of the country to give back a little to the earth and the people. Shincheonji Volunteers commit their entire day from early morning to the setting of the sun. By helping the elderly farmers who tend their crops everyday, it gives an opportunity for these hard working farmers to take a day of rest.

Shincheonji Volunteers hand pick the crops that are ready for harvest with a perceiving heart
As Shincheonji Volunteers know the heart of a farmer by understanding the heart of God who had planted love and a heart of sacrifice for our existence. With the young hands and hearts of Shincheonji Volunteers, a helping hand is given freely without burden.

After a long days of work, Shincheonji Volunteers give their goodbye greetings with a smile.

With that understanding, Shincheonji Volunteers are wholeheartedly grateful for the efforts of the farmers who work to feed the people of the nation and of the world. Shincheonji farmers leave the farms with bright smiles and prepare their hearts to hopefully return another day.

Let's Look at the Determination of Shincheonji Volunteers

Shincheonji volunteers bring bright smiles to the faces of elders who are shown love and aid through volunteerism
Why do Shincheonji Volunteers do the work of volunteering?

It is to leaving a lasting and eternal impression of the 6,000 years of work done by God.

What is being testified?

Because God is light, the children of light act according to that light. With a heart of gratitude, efforts are willingly made to repay the one who has been working for 6,000 years for this work to finally appear today. Also it burns in the heart of volunteers for them to share the love of God and the path of love that God has paved all this time for every single living being to walk on.

Why do Shincheonji Volunteers sacrifice so much?

At Shincheonji, the first thing that is learned is "why have our lives been so far from God" and to make that answer known, Shincheonji volunteers work will all their hearts and will. That is why those who learn are able to know the heart and will of God. With that knowledge and faith, they are fueled to run with a heart of determination and purpose. There is more than meets the eye when it comes to Shincheonji Volunteers! Truly truly there is source to their passion and fervency and it is evident that God's heart is in them.

The Most Extraordinary Work First Starts Small

Shincheonji volunteers clean up the streets and sidewalks for a fresh walkway for the public
Shincheonji Volunteers have gone out to the city to start a work that many may see as a work that leaves no impact. However, Shincheonji Volunteers believe that every work starts small and the end result leaves an impact to the entire world. Shincheonji volunteers remove trash from the sidewalks, repaint poles that have been damaged, remove old postings and lastly, leave a smile on the faces of appreciative pedestrians who walk by.

A pedestrian smiles as Shincheonji Volunteers help post a poster on the poles of the streets
A Shincheonji Volunteer said during volunteering that "Although this work may seem small and the efforts put in may go unrecognized, it leaves a lasting impression of happinessin the hearts of pedestrians who walk in sidewalks everyday." Another Shincheonji Volunteer said "if the sidewalks stay clean then the hearts of many people will surely remain clean as well." Through the individual volunteer efforts, the world is surely bound to change starting with the streets.

Shincheonji Volunteer Work Makes the World Beautiful

Shincheonji Volunteer Work Makes the World Beautiful

A Shincheonji Volunteer and a monk partake in the transformation of plain walls into beautiful murals that portray the beauty of the world.
With the world already being an art form itself, Shincheonji volunteers take the extra step to make what is already beautiful into something majestical. Shincheonji volunteers do not only partake in this work alone, but also involve many people who have the same heart to appreciate what has been given to all mankind.

Without discrimination of cultures and religions, Shincheonji Volunteers work to portray the motto of "We are One." A respectable monk who had passed by had seen the murals and was inspired to break all boundaries that separate one another under the heavens in order to experience oneness of religions and cultures.

A Shincheonji Volunteer beautifully strokes the brush in order to illustrate the beauty of different cultures
Shincheonji Volunteers willingly give up their busy schedules for the beautification of the world one brush stroke at a time. One Shincheonji Volunteer happily said, " It was a joyful time in which we as Shincheonji volunteers were given the opportunity to portray the wonderful work of God." As the work of creating a beautiful world into a majestic dwelling, Shincheonji Volunteers and many people of different religions and cultures will and are working hand in hand to fulfill the motto that "We are One."

What Is War, When Does It Happen, and Which Side Will You Be On?

What is war, deception, test, persecution, betrayal, and salvation according to the Bible?

These things officially happen at the time of the Second Coming. Minor events similar to these has happened in the time leading up to the Second Coming, but the war, deception, test, persecution, betrayal, and salvation that are recorded in Matthew 24 and Revelation are prophecies for the end of age.  That is why these events officially happen at the Second Coming.

Whenever there is a work of God on earth, the opposing work also happens.  A war between God and Satan, the devil begins. Looking back at history, a war between God’s messengers and Satan’s pastors happened each time God’s messengers appeared.  In other words, a war begins because God and His organization fight against Satan and false teachings by exposing all that is false.

We must know that at the time of the First Coming, the messenger who prepared the way came first before the true pastor appeared.  The true pastor appeared after God’s tabernacle was taken over by Satan’s pastors, and God was with him. In the same manner, we know that at the time of the Second Coming, the seven stars (messengers) who prepare the way come first, and the promised pastor comes after God’s tabernacle is taken over, and then God is with him.

The deception, test, persecution, and betrayal recorded in the Bible happen to the chosen people of God’s tabernacle. Those who deceive and persecute them are Satan’s pastors and his church members. By seeing this, the congregation members who believe in the words of the promise in the Bible will be able to distinguish who belongs to Satan and who belongs to God.  God’s chosen people fall into temptation by being deceived, and they end up betraying God and belong to the group of Satan, which is the enemy. This is recorded in Revelation 13, which says that the chosen people of the tabernacle receive a mark from Satan’s pastors and worship him.

Have you seen this event? Those who were victorious over the pastors of dragon, that is, the beast and his image and the number of his name, came out from the location where the event of Revelation 13 took place and gathered at the temple of Revelation 15.  Come to this temple.  The temple is called, “The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony” because those gathered in this tabernacle testify to what they saw and heard in the tabernacle of heaven (tabernacle temple) in Revelation 13, the place where all events of Revelation took place. The people gathered in this tabernacle are well aware of such events. Those who have not seen the events of chapter 13 must hear about them from those who have fought and overcome in chapter 13.

Shincheonji Teaching, If you want to Overcome Trial?

Shincheonji Teaching,
If you want to overcome trial?

  • Faith and Deception

Main reference: Jude (Mt 24:4, Lk 13:23-30, Gal 3:23-29)

What is faith and deception?

Apostle Paul wrote that Abraham was called a forefather of faith.  Abraham was not justified by works, but his faith was credited as righteousness (Rom 4:1-11).

In regards to deception, Jesus warned to not be deceived by people at the end of age (Mt 24:4). In Genesis 3, Eve was deceived by the snake when she ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. Eventually, she died. After Adam and Eve were deceived, they hid and did not appear before God.  They did not ask God when they were being deceived. All this happened because their minds had already been overtaken by the snake.

As seen in Matthew 4, Jesus fought and overcame with the word when he was tempted by the snake, in other words, the devil. Many of us faced such trials and even deception by the enemy but have overcome. As it is recorded, Satan masquerades himself as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade themselves as servants of righteousness (2 Cor 11:13-15). Our faith is in the Word rather than in a person’s flesh. One will overcome trials if he has the Word.

On Eternal Life Discourse of Jesus Christ -Shincheonji Bible Words

Shincheonji Bible Words,
<Jesus Christ’s Discourse on Eternal Life>

Let's try to think about "Jesus Christ’s discourse on eternal life"

This is an explanation for all churches and believers that they might have a true life of faith.

Let us examine what Jesus taught regarding eternal life in the following passages so we can truly make this knowledge our own.

I bring up this topic because people persecute us as heresy without knowing the true meaning of the Bible themselves. Perhaps discussing exactly what Jesus said in the NT about this topic will help to alleviate some confusion.

  • Jn 8:47-55
“The one who belongs to God listens and responds to God’s words. You don’t listen and respond, because you don’t belong to God.” The Judeans replied, “Aren’t we correct in saying that you are a Samaritan and are possessed by a demon?” Jesus answered, “I am not possessed by a demon, but I honor my Father – and yet you dishonor me. I am not trying to get praise for myself. There is one who demands it, and he also judges. I tell you the solemn truth, if anyone obeys my teaching, he will never see death.” Then the Judeans responded, “Now we know you’re possessed by a demon! Both Abraham and the prophets died, and yet you say, ‘If anyone obeys my teaching, he will never experience death.’ You aren’t greater than our father Abraham who died, are you? And the prophets died too! Who do you claim to be?” Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory is worthless. The one who glorifies me is my Father, about whom you people say, ‘He is our God.’ Yet you do not know him, but I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know him, and I obey his teaching.”

  •  Jn 11:25-27
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies, and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” She replied, “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God who comes into the world.”

  •  Rom 8:9-11
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this person does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is your life because of righteousness. Moreover if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through his Spirit who lives in you.

  • Rev 21:1~4
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had ceased to exist, and the sea existed no more. And I saw the holy city – the new Jerusalem – descending out of heaven from God, made ready like a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Look! The residence of God is among human beings. He will live among them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will not exist any more – or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the former things have ceased to exist.”

  • Jn 14:16-17
Then I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you forever – the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept, because it does not see him or know him. But you know him, because he resides with you and will be in you.

  • Jn 14:20
You will know at that time that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you.

  • Rev 3:20
Listen! I am standing at the door and knocking! If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come into his home and share a meal with him, and he with me.

  • Gal 4:6
And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, who calls “Abba! Father!”

Do the scriptures above say that only the spirit lives eternally or do these say that even the body can live eternally? Is there death in the kingdom of heaven?

Take a close look and read at the bible again!

Shincheonji, Prophecy & Fulfillment

Shincheonji Teaching,
"Do you Believe in Prophecy
and its Fulfillment?"

When are the new heaven and new earth created after the first heaven and first earth disappear?

Where are they created? And who are they? What kind of kingdom are they?

The time when they are created is the Lord’s second coming when Revelation in the New Testament is fulfilled. At that time, Spiritual Israel (churches of Jesus) is destroyed and comes to an end. The Lord returns to harvest and seal people, and he creates God’s new kingdom (new heaven and new earth) here on earth. The new kingdom Jesus creates is the twelve tribes of Shincheonji Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (the 144,000 priests and the people of the great multitude). This is the kingdom promised in the New Testament. It is heaven, and its people are the people of heaven. This is truly the kingdom, which is the fulfillment of the New Testament of the prophecy that Jesus gave so that we would believe when it happens.

God even prophesied to fulfill this kingdom from the Old Testament (Jer 31).

According to that prophecy, Jesus came and sowed seed(Mt 13).

Today grains are harvested and sealed, and the twelve tribes are created in accordance with the promises(Rv 14).

God had Satan appear in order to create this promised kingdom, and Revelation 13 describes the events of the appearance of Satan. Satan appeared according to the prophecies, and as a matter of fact, a trap was set up to capture Satan (refer to Jer 50:24). These are the events of Revelation 13 and 12.

As the promised pastor fought against the dragon and overcame it, he has become Israel (New Spiritual Israel) and has created the twelve tribes.

It is from this time on that the kingdom of God and salvation can come (Rv 12:10-11). Do you believe in this prophecy and its fulfillment?

Testifying Shincheonji Good News, "Fulfillments of Prophecies"

Testifying Shincheonji
Good News

  • Testifying the Good News to all Christian Saints on the Earth
The prophecies of the New Testament, which Jesus had promised approximately two thousand years ago, have been fulfilled in the Republic of Korea. Today, at the time of Revelation and the Second Coming of Jesus, all believers who study the scriptures to attain salvation must listen carefully to this testimony in which the fulfillment of the prophecies are testified.

By believing in the revealed words and the actual entities of Revelation, the fulfillments of the prophecies, we can know the one and only true God and become God's children, and inherit all things (Mt 11:27; Jn 17:3; Rv. 21:6-7).

The promise of God is the revealed words of Revelation, the creation of the 12 tribes of God’s kingdom, through which the servants of God who believe in the physical fulfillment of Revelation are sealed.

At the First Coming, God made Jesus deliver the words of Revelation and God created His nation (Spiritual Israel) of 12 tribes with people who believe in Revelation (refer to Mt 11:27, 10:2-4; Jas 1:1).

Likewise, today at the time of the Second Coming, through an angel, Jesus made the promised pastor (one who overcomes) deliver the words of Revelation (Rv 10) and create the Kingdom of God (New Spiritual Israel) through the 12 tribes of those who received the revelation (Rv 7).

How can a man who does not believe in the Bible’s prophecy or in its fulfillment be considered a true believer? Blessings (life) and curses (death) are laid before us. To live, we must choose life and obey God’s words (Dt 30:19-20). Let all believers hear this Word! Listen this news!

We, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, are advocates of Jesus Christ, the testifiers of the actual fulfilled entities.

Come and see!

Not one believer under the heavens knows Revelation except for the pastor and people of Shincheonji.

If there is, that person is a liar. We testify the five Wh's and one H of the actual revealed entities, which are fulfilled through the promised prophecy.

Those who want to be saved by the revealed belief and faith will become part of the sealed 12 tribes (Rv 7) of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
