Shincheonji Bible: The Last Hope

What is the greatest hope of our lives? Is it to be a rich? What is the hope that is deep inside of our hearts? Parents always try to help their children to have a bright dream so that they may grow to make those dreams a reality. Therefore, if we have a hope that is shining bright within our heart and mind, we can endure all hardships that come our way. However as a person with a life of faith, what are we hoping for? Is our hope to have the greatest riches of the earth? Is it to have the best career? We must reflect on what our hope is even through those who lived 2,000 years ago.

Do you know how many prophets sacrificed their lives for God and spreading the gospel? Was it easy for them to give up their lives? Do you know why the 12 disciples of Jesus decided to follow Jesus? Weren’t they persecuted because they believed in Jesus? It is because they believed 100% of the hope of heaven that God promised. Moreover, they perceived that nothing more can be precious than life. Therefore, they believed God’s promise in order to receive eternal life.

Then, let’s look into our hearts deeply. Do we really have the hope for eternal life? Our wishes and hopes for the world can’t last forever because it is meaningless without life. If we say that we have 100% faith in heaven and eternal life, let us put God’s Words of promise into our hearts just as the prophets and the twelve disciples did. Amen.

13 write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. - 1 John 5:13 -

Shincheonji Bible: The Value of Grace

Did you know that there is one thing free of cost that all of mankind has equally received?

As stated in Ephesians 2:8, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."

We have all received this precious, free gift of grace.

When people receive something that is free of cost, it's difficult to really appreciate the full value of what's given. This is because no amount of effort or work was taken to earn this free gift, which decreases the value of the item. To take this even a step further, some could eventually even be disillusioned into thinking that they actually did something to deserve this gift, when in actuality, they didn't do a thing.

We who are beyond undeserving, we who sin day after day, have been saved because of an act of love from God. There is nothing favorable or impressive that we did to warrant receiving this free gift. This grace is beyond comparable value to any physical thing on this earth, because it is the gift that has spiritually saved us, through the precious blood of one who never sinned, Jesus Christ.

When someone gifts you something incredibly huge, what is a normal person's reaction? Even just saying the words "thank you," is not enough. An average person would try to think of a way to repay this gift, either with a similar gift of value or through actions. Don't our actions have to surpass those of "average" people? We are believers, children of God set apart from this world. Then, we need to work towards repaying this grace in a way that is truly acknowledged by God.

Let us be those who are truly doing the work of God, according to His will, so that we can repay even a tiny percentage of this huge gift of grace that he has saved us with. Amen.

Shincheonji bible: Light of the World

Thomas Edison was one of the greatest American inventors who invented the lightbulb. Why did he try to invent the light bulb? Did you ever think about living in a world without light? What if the lighthouse didn’t exist to flash light onto the sea at night? What if the streetlights didn’t exist to light the roads we walk on? Therefore, we can’t do anything from the moment the sun goes down because this world is too dangerous without the sun’s light.

Thomas Edison realized the importance of light in everyday life. Everyone acknowledges that Thomas Edison was a genius and he said, “Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration.” Then let us ask ourselves, where did he get the inspiration to invent the light bulb? Don’t you think he was inspired through something that provides light? Surely if I was in his shoes, I would have been inspired by the light that shines from the sun that God created.

Let’s think about the world without the sun. Without the sun, we won’t be able to live on the earth. Why? Because the earth would be a frozen ball without radiant heat of the sun. Moreover, the earth revolves around the sun while the sun provides the energy and life through its radiance.

In the bible, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor;” (Psalm 84:11). We can understand through this verse that God is like the sun who give us life and we need to receive the light of His word in order to live. Therefore, let us constantly hear and put the words of light within our hearts to shine like the stars of heaven. Amen.

Shincheonji Bible: Grace

What is grace to you?

There are many definitions of grace and some may simply define it as a heart of gratitude. Others define just by a movement of elegance. However in the Bible, we are able to define grace through the pain and suffering of God and the many people who saw their lives as nothing in comparison to the word.

Within the history of the Bible, there are many events where we see grace in reality. For example, the sinful woman who washed Jesus' feet perceived grace. How? She understood that she was a sinful woman yet she was forgiven despite her sins. In her act of being thankful for the grace, she washed and put perfume on Jesus' feet. If we were in the situation of sitting with Jesus, would we sit next to him like a friend, or would you be face down in tears while washing his feet?

Today we live in grace. What is that grace? It is truth. For it says in John 1:17 that grace and truth came through Jesus. The words that Jesus came with were the words fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies and also the prophecies of the New Testament. We have to be thankful for these words because the disciples gave up their lives thinking of people in the future who may have the words of Jesus. Then if the words of truth we have today came with so much grace, what could we do in thankfulness? The best we can honestly do is obey the words that were given. In fact, God wants us to have these words in our hearts and our minds (Hb 8:10-12).

If we cannot obey these words, how can we show God we are thankful? If we don't even understand, how can we obey? Therefore, let us remember that understanding follows with obedience and obedience leads to action that can repay the grace God has given us. Amen.

Shincheonji Bible: Who are You in the Bible?

Until the Bible is all fulfilled, we must think about where we are within the very texts that are yet to fulfill. What book are we in? We know for a fact that we are not in the book of Deuteronomy and we know for a fact we are not in the book of John. Then what book are we in? What if we are in the book of Revelation? These are questions we must ask ourselves everyday.

The first thing someone with faith should definitely ask is how close are we to the fulfillment of revelation? Many say we are far from it and some say we are close to it. However, what is the evidence that shows directly where we are? We should never try to guess or try to make our own interpretations, but instead look at the signs that directly point us to the direction where we may be at. If we look in Mt 24, we can understand that there is a sign that is to show when it is near the end. The scriptures state that when there is an abomination that causes desolation standing in the holy place, one should flee to the mountain. Then isn't it our curiosity to ask who this abomination is, where the holy place is and what mountain we must flee to? If we are not asking these questions, when will we recognize the signs? It will be difficult. So let us start asking. Where are we in the Bible and who are you in the Bible? Are you someone who is just like the blade of grass who withers away in time? Are you someone who is a part of the holy nation? Are you a part of the great multitude in white? Although we may not know, God surely knows. So let us come before God and ask for a heart of discernment and ask Him to reveal us what is true to us today. Amen!

Shincheonji Bible: The Heart of a Father

There once was a time when I really felt that I grew up mentally in my life. The moment that guided me to see much deeper into my fathers heart was when I got my first car. Through this one moment, I realized the heart is difficult to see and it is not as tangible as we may think. I perceived that the heart can be seen when it is understood.

During my young years in life, there was a time I asked my father for a car because everyone else had one and I felt that I deserved it. I found it unfair that every other person in my age had one while I was still being dependent on others for a ride. I complained and complained to my father asking him why he cannot get me a car. All I thought was about my perspective, my needs and my life.

After a couple of weeks of nagging, my father finally bought me a car. I was overjoyed and drove everywhere. I felt proud to get what I wanted. I was grateful, but that thankfulness was only a thankfulness that resulted from my conscience to be thankful when given something. The thankfulness wasn't from the heart, but still I had no regret for complaining and begging for a car.

However... All of this changed one day when I saw my mother text message from my father. My father wrote that he was under his desk at work in trembling and fear that we would lose our house. He told my mother that paying for my car was the most difficult decision of his life because it put him under enormous amounts of stress. However at the end of the message he wrote, "Even though it may be hard for me, seeing him [myself] driving around makes me smile. Even if we lose our house, our child's joy is why we work." At this moment I bawled and at that moment I understood my father's heart for me.

We understand our father's heart when we understand what he must go through to give us what we need. We may see it as something we deserve, but we must understand that sacrifice must come for others to receive. Our father in Heaven is our spiritual father whom we must understand. We must see His heart of suffering through all the historical events of the Bible and see how much He worked in order to give us faith. We may believe that faith is something we make and something we form, but in fact we must understand that it is a gift. God had to work until now so we can even have faith. He had to show that He is willing to suffer for 6,000 years in order for us to see His heart. But the question is... do we know His heart? If we don't then we must pray and ask God to grant us faith and lead us to the word that can open our minds and hearts to His own. I pray that we may all one day understand God's heart so we may carry out the actions of faith to help Him complete His purpose and will. May the grace we perceive push us to action! Amen!

What Is War, When Does It Happen, and Which Side Will You Be On?

What is war, deception, test, persecution, betrayal, and salvation according to the Bible?

These things officially happen at the time of the Second Coming. Minor events similar to these has happened in the time leading up to the Second Coming, but the war, deception, test, persecution, betrayal, and salvation that are recorded in Matthew 24 and Revelation are prophecies for the end of age.  That is why these events officially happen at the Second Coming.

Whenever there is a work of God on earth, the opposing work also happens.  A war between God and Satan, the devil begins. Looking back at history, a war between God’s messengers and Satan’s pastors happened each time God’s messengers appeared.  In other words, a war begins because God and His organization fight against Satan and false teachings by exposing all that is false.

We must know that at the time of the First Coming, the messenger who prepared the way came first before the true pastor appeared.  The true pastor appeared after God’s tabernacle was taken over by Satan’s pastors, and God was with him. In the same manner, we know that at the time of the Second Coming, the seven stars (messengers) who prepare the way come first, and the promised pastor comes after God’s tabernacle is taken over, and then God is with him.

The deception, test, persecution, and betrayal recorded in the Bible happen to the chosen people of God’s tabernacle. Those who deceive and persecute them are Satan’s pastors and his church members. By seeing this, the congregation members who believe in the words of the promise in the Bible will be able to distinguish who belongs to Satan and who belongs to God.  God’s chosen people fall into temptation by being deceived, and they end up betraying God and belong to the group of Satan, which is the enemy. This is recorded in Revelation 13, which says that the chosen people of the tabernacle receive a mark from Satan’s pastors and worship him.

Have you seen this event? Those who were victorious over the pastors of dragon, that is, the beast and his image and the number of his name, came out from the location where the event of Revelation 13 took place and gathered at the temple of Revelation 15.  Come to this temple.  The temple is called, “The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony” because those gathered in this tabernacle testify to what they saw and heard in the tabernacle of heaven (tabernacle temple) in Revelation 13, the place where all events of Revelation took place. The people gathered in this tabernacle are well aware of such events. Those who have not seen the events of chapter 13 must hear about them from those who have fought and overcome in chapter 13.
